The appeal of Marktheidenfeld as a lifely shopping town is due to the offer of approximately 130 shops and the department store Udo Lermann with many retail shops under one roof.
In a public-private project in the years 2008 - 2010, an additional modern shopping facility with underground car par was built with sophisticated architecture in the area around the Old Town Hall in the heart of town.

The smaller and larger retail stores in the mainly car-free town center invite you to go on a shopping spree - at Obertorstraße, Bronnbacherstraße, Mitteltorstraße, Untertorstraße and Petzoltstraße  as well as along Luitpoldstraße. In the complex of Luitpold Passage and the roofed-in area at Mitteltorstraße you will experience a versatile and active retail trade in our shopping town. Several large discount markets of well-known companies are found around the town.


You will find sufficient and well-priced parking lots in the town center on the parking lot at the Town Hall and the newly-built underground car park. There is a lot of free parking nearby. The maximum walking distance between a parking lot and the next shop is 200 metros. We find, that’s hard to beat!


As a medium-sized center, Marktheidenfeld provides everyday-life facilities not only for the 11,500 inhabitants but also for 35,000 people from the district of Main-Spessart and the surrounding districts.


The traditional markets - May Market, Laurenzi-Fair, St. Martin’s Market - as well as the Christmas Market and a weekly "green market" for groceries round off the shopping offer.
